BEHIND THE WORK - STEPHEN D REID

Stephen is a musician, producer and scriptwriter.
His first band ‘And On’ were featured on BBC Radio 1’s Newsbeat as he went on to perform across Europe with various bands, and produce tracks in such prestigious studios as Trident in London, UB40’s DEP in Birmingham and Square One in Greater Manchester. At the age of 18 his first orchestration was played at the Royal Albert Hall for the Queen and Prince Philip and broadcast on the BBC. 

Stephen has written, directed and produced five independent short films composing the music for each. (Two of these ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ and ‘A Matter of Conscience’ have featured at the Edinburgh Film Festival). 

His instrumental skills include keyboards, guitar, cello and trumpet and he lectures in music production and media technology, keeping him constantly in touch with a changing industry.
His works include, “The Wanderers” composed for the opening of the Reebok Stadium, Bolton; “Classica”, the last commissioned piece for the original Wembley Stadium, “Fall of Paradise” a BBC2 feature on Peter Ebdon, “Enigma” a theatre production for the Guildhall Preston and “Market” a six-part series for BBC Radio 4. He has orchestrated the opening music for 'THE ASHES' 2013 and the Rugby League World Cup 2013, performed by Sean Ruane.

He has written and produced a number of singles and albums including Doc Redeye releases “Sweet Love”, Milli Low and “Overboard” by Ashleigh Wood, “Every Day” Nicole Talmer, "Beautiful Girl" Jayke Cox, “Cry Don’t Cry” Megan J Ingham. His production work includes two chart top 40 successes with “One in a Million” and "Time of our Lives" with ReConnected (BGT), and music credits on Alex Polizzi's series 'The Fixer' and BBC's 'Our School'. 

TOUR MANAGEMENT/STAGE MANAGEMENT.

Stephen has tour/stage managed over many years with BGT & various artists including Jai McDowell, Jedward, Connected, Mr Zip, B*Witched, Carol Decker.

PROMOTIONS

Concerts have included Burnley Blues Festival, UB40, The Christians, The Jam, Bad Manners, China Crisis, Kiki Dee.
